Muso privacy
Privacy policy
How Muso uses your information and the choices you have.
Effective 5 October 2026. Privacy contact: alphysseus@gmail.com.
Information you provide
We use your account email or sign-in identifier, username and profile details to provide your account. We store content you send to Muso, including artwork contributions, photos, encounters, comments, ratings, bookmarks, connections and reports. Private reflections, voice recordings and transcripts may be stored when you use library sync.
Your activity, such as saved artworks, ratings and connections, may be used to personalise suggestions. Hosting and sign-in providers also process technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to operate and protect the service.
What other people can see
Your public profile, published encounters, public photos, comments and artwork contributions can be seen by others. Places and dates attached to a published encounter appear with that post. Saving a private draft does not publish it. Review the audience and photo permission controls before sharing.
Optional device permissions
Camera, photo, microphone, speech recognition and location permissions are requested when a feature needs them. You can change them in iOS Settings. Nearby discovery uses device location in memory. Apple Maps may receive map and place searches. A place you attach to an encounter is stored with that encounter.
Local drafts and personal iCloud copies are separate from Muso’s hosted service. Their availability depends on your device and iCloud settings. Speech recognition may use Apple’s services, depending on your device and settings.
Service providers and transfers
Muso uses Supabase for accounts, hosted data and media; Apple services for maps, sign-in and private iCloud sync where enabled; and Google if you choose Google sign-in. These providers may process information outside your country. We use them to deliver and protect Muso. Muso does not sell your personal data or use advertising tracking.
Retention and account deletion
We keep account data and content while needed to provide Muso. You can remove your own shared content and request deletion of your account and its personal data. In the iOS app, open Profile → Settings → Delete account when available. You can also contact alphysseus@gmail.com for a deletion request or help accessing your account.
We process account-deletion requests within 30 days and confirm completion using your account contact details. Personal content associated with your account is included. Independent museum catalogue records and other people’s content remain. Limited information may be retained where required by law or necessary for security. Copies in your device or personal iCloud library are under your control and should be reviewed separately.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, remove your shared content, change device permissions, and request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Where applicable, you may also request a copy of your data, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, or contact your local data-protection authority. Email us to exercise these rights; we may verify account ownership to protect your information.
Legal contact
The person responsible for Muso’s processing of personal data is Man Tat Yue, operating Muso. Contact: alphysseus@gmail.com.
